About Need To Know

Robin Bernhard — Founder & Leading Advocate Against Elder Financial Fraud & Abuse
Robin Bernhard is a fraud-defense advocate and technology leader who has spent most of his professional career at the intersection of technology and trust. He has worked for industry leaders including Microsoft, Barclays, International Game Technology (IGT), and Western Alliance Bank, partnering directly with clients to design and deliver solutions that help businesses and individuals recognize, prevent, and respond to financial exploitation.
His work became personal when his mother hired a contractor who offered to “help” her make a Venmo payment from her phone — only to pay himself twice and disappear. Robin uncovered the abuse, stopped it, and turned that painful experience into a driving passion: protecting seniors and their families from financial exploitation.
Through Need To Know, Robin empowers senior living facilities, caregivers, families, and individuals to recognize, prevent, and respond to fraud with confidence and clarity.
